The Tooth Fairy Arrival

by Ashley Mullen Leave a Comment

We are at that age where teeth are starting to get loose, started to wiggle, getting ready to fall out. With all that, comes the questions about the tooth fairy and her impending arrival. How does she do it? What does she do?

Austin is still waiting on her first tooth actually fall out – please let her be in a different room than I, I’m not sure I’ll be able to stomach it, or listen to the whining I’m sure will ensue. Little sisters and little brothers are hoping to join the wiggling of teeth, Gauge states that he has a “loosie toothie”.

Fun Items and Keepsakes

Baby Tooth Album – Saving your little one’s baby teeth is definitely a personal decision. If you want to get them here is a way to do so.

I recently shared an article I had read (and shared on my Facebook page) about keeping your children’s baby teeth because they contain stem cells that you might want to check out.

I had one of these tooth fairy pillows when I was a child. Your child puts their tooth in the pocket, and the tooth fairy replaces it with money. Makes it a little easier than searching for a tooth under a pillow.

Since I recently took up crocheting, I tried my hand at making one. I think it turned out pretty good, I shared a picture of if on Instagram, Austin is over the moon excited about it, hoping to put it to good use soon.

Books to Read

We of course, had to find some tooth fairy books about the tooth fairy.

The Tooth Fairy Wars – This is such a cute book, I love that it isn’t the typical tooth fairy book. In fact, its about a boy doesn’t want the tooth fairy to come and take his tooth.

My Wobbly Tooth Must Not Ever Never Fall Out – This is a cute little book. All about one little girls journey to losing her first tooth, and then to actually losing it.

Here Comes the Tooth Fairy Cat – This is a long book in number of pages, but there aren’t a lot of words per page. But definitely more geared toward your older toothless kids.

Fancy Nancy and the Too-Loose Tooth – We happen to be Fancy Nancy fans. She reminds me of my Austin with her loose tooth, so impatient to lose her tooth, wiggling it with her tongue at all times.

Andrew’s Loose Tooth – Who doesn’t like Robert Munsch books? This is just too much fun to listen to and to read to your kids.

Berenstain Bears and the Tooth Fairy – I think everyone knows that I love Berenstain Bear books, no surprise that I found a Tooth Fairy one.

Arthur Tricks the Tooth Fairy – Even though little sisters can be really annoying, Arthur still loves her and wants her to experience the Tooth Fairy just as he has.

Do you have a tooth fairy tradition? Certain books that you read?
