Hi! I’m Ashley, mother of three, wife, homeschooler, and blogger. We are Martimers (Nova Scotia) at heart and are finally back in the Maritimes after seven years in the Prairies. This is a little about us, and how we can help you on your homeschool journey.
Here on Forgetful Momma you can find tips for getting through the day, steps to getting the secular homeschool work and housework done, and how to not lose lose your cool too often. You can sign up for weekly email newsletter to keep up to date.
I write from the heart, I’m 100% honest that I don’t know everything, I am stumbling along just like the next person. I’m going to tell you when I screw up just the same as I do when I have found success, in fact Instagram is a looking glass into our everyday life, no filters, no edits, you can see just how messy our house can get.
We are Canadian secular homeschoolers with four full years under our belt now. I want you to know that you aren’t alone in starting this journey, we’re stumbling along with homeschooling, with parenting our children along with you. Here you can see learn more about us, and see that you aren’t the only one struggling through the day as a parent, as a homeschooler, as a wife.
Forgetful Momma started many years ago, while the focus has changed from an online journal to sharing our journey homeschooling our children through secular eclectic methods while keeping up with the housework and feeding my family. You can sign up for weekly email newsletter to keep up to date.
We are a family of five. We are very loud. We love each other.
A little more about us:

Hubby – He supports our family as a Salesman with a large company. Playing guitar, and wood working in his spare time. And, he rarely smiles for pictures.
Austin – 10 years old (March 2009). She is a Monster High, princess, Lego, science loving girl, grade 5.
Brookland – Eight years old (May 2011). She is a ball of laughing-, singing-, dancing- energy. She loves princesses, Barbie, and Lego, and everything else her sister has an interest in. She’s very photo genetic, always wanting her picture taken, grade 3.
Gauge – Six years old (November 2013). This little boy is giving me a run for my money. He love all things super heroes, and bugging his older sisters as he tries to keep up with them. Grade 1.
You can take a peek at some of the things we use in our homeschool (and home) in our Amazon shop. We have our favorite books listed, along with school supplies we use, and things I use to keep organized.
