There is nothing quite like sleeping all night (or with very few interruptions), waking up on your own and feeling refreshed. I think this might be the first thing I’ve felt this way in more than two years (since before I was pregnant with Gauge). This lead to peanut butter donuts, dipped in jam.
The first thing I will say is, if you are making them for more than two people, or even for two people, you’ll want to double this recipe. Three kids devoured these and were looking for more! I had a small bite of one of one and that was it.
It was cute to see happy they were to have donuts, something they rarely get, and to get them for breakfast. They were over the moon.
You can check out my Simple Donut recipe to check out how I fill my ziploc baggie quickly and with no mess. I also shared how big not to cut the tip off, so this time I made sure I didn’t do that again.
Nice a small. The original cut, too big of a hole, was mistake number one. Mistake number two was using cheap ziploc baggies.
It lead to a blow out the side. I simply dropped this bag into a better brand baggie and continued on my way. Lesson learned, lesson shared!
See how nicely it fits into the mold when the end is cut, and not too big. That leads to pretty, tasty mini donuts. While they aren’t perfect looking, they looking better than the last batch. Either way they all taste great.
