Laundry. We all do laundry. Those of us with children do a little more than others might, and the more children you have the more that you end having to do. Here, if I don’t do a load a day, I get buried.
There are a lot ways to save money on doing laundry from the amount of water you use to the amount of laundry detergent you use. Most people believe that if a little bit of detergent works then a little bit more will work even better… therefore wasting laundry detergent.
The laundry ball by SmartKlean that I received in the mail helps reduce both of the above mentioned. Actually it completely eliminates the possibility of too much laundry detergent. And here’s why: you toss the ball in with the laundry. Done. No measuring.
You also don’t have to run a rinse cycle saving on water consumption. And living in towns or cities where you pay by the amount water used, you this can save you quite a bit.
I will say that I was surprised by just how well it works. I have been using a large brand name detergent lately and have been disappointed by the quality of clean. The laundry ball is cleaning my laundry like a dream, cleaning what the other detergent couldn’t.
I will say, I don’t have good pictures. Apparently I don’t think about taking pictures when doing laundry. I have had a lot of Woohoo moments. The first load I did with took the strawberry off of Gauge’s new shirt without stain remover, or a second thought.
Now, I don’t want you think I waste, or have more money than brains BUT I did wash a white shirt with the other brand just to see. Gauge’s clothes are second hand, and this shirt is getting snug so I figured what the heck.
So here’s the shirt.
I threw it in the laundry and didn’t think about it again until it came out of the washer the next morning.
I rubbed the stain remover stick over the stain, threw it in the wash, this time with my trusty laundry ball.
There is still a little bit of a stain on the neck, but nothing really.
It also worked wonders on hubby’s sweat stained white ball cap. Even he was impressed.
Disclosure: I received a Laundry Ball and stain remover in exchange for this review. All opinions are honest and my own.
