On the morning of first day of summer, I started my day off running. No, not exercise. Running around the house getting everyone ready to go to the second to last soccer game of the season.
No one moves fast around here when there is somewhere we have to be. I figured on Tim Horton’s for breakfast, eat it on the go. While that was a great idea, getting out of the house is never easy, even with breakfast waiting.
Then at the door, we realized we didn’t have any soccer socks. Between Austin, Hubby and I, we turned three rooms up side down. In the end, on the top of the laundry hamper in the bathroom, I found a pair of pink soccer socks.
Over the pink shin pads they went, then on with the pink cleats, and finally the Blue Blazers soccer t-shirt. You can put her in any color you want, she’s gonna have blue one why or another.
She had one half hour game, then an hour later another game. Her last game of the season.
She got a certificate, a metal and a snack.
In the last game, she scored another goal! The best ending to the soccer season. I think they all had a great soccer season, played hard and had a lot of fun. Despite the rush that happened on Mondays and Wednesdays I’m sad that it’s over. She really enjoyed it. She was happy when I told her that we could do it all over again next year.
