So much can happen with just one look. Love. Hate. Lust. Laughter. First, second, and third and even impressions can mean a lot. So much can be said with just a look.
“I love you.”
“Are you serious?!”
“What do you think you are doing?”
“Don’t even think about it!”
I have children, I have mastered the two previous ones, it saves time and my voice. I would love to know how many times I give those looks.
So much can be say with an expression.
When each of our girls were really young we taught them to give the look. Austin can’t and still can’t do it without laughing. Brookland on the other hand, mastered it. Get after her for something, get the look, sit her in time out, not give her what she wants right away, you got it.
It is very hard to get a picture of her giving us the look because she starts smelling, laughing and saying cheese. We have taken many pictures trying to get a good one, this is the best I have.
I made the mistake of leaving the house one day while she was napping, she was pissed. I walked in the house later, she was already up, and all I got was the look. She wanted me to hold her. She wasn’t happy about it either.
I tried to get her to stop looking at me like that by giving it back to her. Hubby captured the moment.
I wrote this post using one of Mama Kat’s writing prompts, “stop looking at me like that”.
