I wanted chocolate, but not all the calories and/or fat that goes along with it. After looking through my cupboards I found some bananas that no one ate and my favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe. Well, move over old favorite there is a  new favorite in town and it’s light and fluffy. Banana chocolate chip cookies are yummy…. do I need to share with the kids who helped make them???

What you need:

  • 1/3 cup soften butter
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 3 mashed bananas
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/8 tsp baking soda
  • 1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips

How to make Banana Chocolate Chip Cookies

Preheat your oven to 350.

Start adding and mixing your ingredients together, I went in the order that I have them listed in the recipe towards the end (keep scrolling).

Make sure to grease your cookie sheets or line them with parchment paper.

Bake for 10 minutes.

This really were so light, I couldn’t get over it.

I think we’re in need of another stool for baking.

Update: I’ve made these numerous times. Only once have they not turned out right, but I had used frozen bananas. Bananas don’t get very ripe around here, never brown.
