We have arrived! We are safety in Rosthern Saskatchewan getting settled into our new home. After a rocky start with our U-Haul, bald tires and then a flat, we were well on our way. 4 ½ very long days, 3 nights in hotels and one night driving through most of the night, but we made it.
For all my worry about how the girls we going to be, I was pleasantly surprised that they were great! We arrived with some new toys yet to be played with, snacks uneaten, and no one waiting to jump out the moving van.
Things are of course crazy messy here in the house as we settle in, unpack and soon replace furniture we had gotten rid of. The girls love the empty living room with to quote Austin, “jumping floor”. We had no carpet in our old house, so the thick white carpet in the living room is completely new, and they love jumping on it. Yeah, stain remover companies saw me coming with, and yeah, the dog has already peed on it, grr!
We are looking forward to all the fun things that Saskatchewan, particularly in our area or within easy traveling distance. Everything is new and an adventure. Austin is currently on an adventure kick and all she wants to do is go on another one. I think I can handle this challenge.
