Hubby and I met in July 2007, by the end of September 2007 we had a house. Only in Hubby’s name. We weren’t stupid. He was buying a house and I was moving in with him. There was nothing in both of our names; we each still paid our own bills. We still stand by “when its right its right”, and we knew it was right for us.
After being all moved in I went shopping for a bedding set for our bedroom, something that was just ours. After spending a good amount of time in the bedding area of the store I had my purchases picked out. Comforter, sheets, new pillows and a curtain filled my shopping cart. At the checkout I remember my eyes bugging a little bit as the cashier rang up the total, and knew I would be using my credit card instead of the cash I had planned on using to pay. After swiping my card I got the bad news. Declined. My first thought was how was it possible. After putting a few items back and paying with the cash I walked out. I couldn’t believe my card had been declined.
When I got home I looked at my banking statement online. I realized that I had forgotten to make my last payment, if I had remembered there would have been no problem but with the moving things got confused. After that I set up recurring payments, no more missed payments, no more declined.
I am participating in a blogger campaign by Bucks2Blog for Recurring Billing Software and was compensated. However, the views and opinions are my own.
