Is there anything worse than children full of energy when it is pouring rain outside? Austin and Brookland have been running around jumping on furniture. It’s hard to get anything done with children running wild or with it raining. As soon as the rain stopped we headed out. Store and then some energy busting puddle jumping.
Messy Friday: Jelly Mess

It has been awhile since we’ve had some good messy fun. With summer weather here, hopefully we’ll be getting some more in. This week we messed around with some jelly in our water table.
I spent the week making gelatin up in different colors and layered it in a large mixing bowl. I used packages of gelatin that have been in my cupboard for, oh I don’t know, seven years. I think it was time it got used up. [Read more...]
Messy Friday – The Toy Room

Different take on Messy Friday this week. First Messy Friday in awhile, so I thought I’d change it up a bit. This week, Messy Toy Room! Beyond messy, very little foot room, and no play room.
I have tried bribes, threats, and today, I’m taking toys. The toy room is a mess! I know what your thinking, it’s a toy room, it gets played in therefore it should be messy.
I don’t think the girls know what toys they have in there. It’s a small room so they are stepping and tripping on toys. Austin has a good little bruise on her arm from falling against her toy box.

It’s Friday again. Hurray!
I’m currently moving, or finishing the packing, basically not having fun! Leading up to all the unfun stuff that is going to be happening this weekend I made sure that we had fun during the week. I got some inspiration from My Kids Guide. After searching through the house, I discovered that I already packed the balloons and food color so we improvised, I also packed the paint brushes. With a block of ice out of the freezer {for once its warm enough outside to not completely freeze out there}, the girls set up with some paint, to do some ice painting.
