Wordless Wednesday: Our First Rodeo

This Sunday just gone past we spend a couple hours in the evening at the local rodeo, it was a first for all of us. We all had fun, even with the couple rain showers that soaked us.

And We’re Having A Baby …

Things are so different in Saskatchewan when having a baby compared to Yarmouth, Nova Scotia where I had the girls. You had one ultrasound, and for $10 you could have a picture of your baby. If you want to find out the gender… well forget about it at your regular ultrasound appointment. Instead you would have to pay a couple hundred dollars to have a 3D ultrasound and to find out the gender.

Instead, here, at 20 1/2 weeks I have had two ultrasounds, and now have 8 pictures of our baby. At no cost! I love looking at the pictures.

But I made sure I was wearing my best bra if I was going anywhere, I refuse to be one of the women who’s boobs are on the loose. [Read more...]

Honey Nut Cheerios Hearty Oat Crunch

Turning the old and no longer useful into something useful seems to be the way of things there. We love turning one thing into another, reuse is one of the R’s of recycling. This is in relation to Honey Nut Cheerios I promise, I haven’t gone completely off topic.

I thought I’d share a few of our favorite things around the house.
