Taco seasoning, bbq sauce, stir fry sauce and teriyaki sauce are up there too on the list of things I never have, either not enough or none at all. There for I make it when I need. Each is quite easy, the bbq sauce takes the longest, but only because it simmers.
I have a chicken recipe that is amazing and calls for teriyaki sauce. So I’m left making it. Each and every time.
But you know what? Its easy and I have everything that I need on hand at all times. You just might too.
- 4 tbsp soy sauce
- 6 tbsp sugar
- 2 tsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp water
- 1 tbsp garlic powder (optional)
In a small sauce pan bring the soy sauce and sugar to a boil, add in garlic powder if you’d like.
In a small bowl combine the cornstarch and water.
Add the cornstarch mix into the sauce pan and whisk thoroughly. Reduce heat, and continue to stir until it reduces.
