I’d first like to say a Happy Mother’s Day to all of you out there. I hope yesterday was extra special for you. This year was the first year that Austin knew it was Mother’s Day without Hubby telling her. My heart melted when she said happy mother’s day to me as soon as she got up.
This week I’ll be starting the week out without any homework, first time in a year. I am finally done with my Web Design program and so happy. Hubby and I decided this month was my month to relax and do nothing. So that’s what I’ve been doing since I submitted my last assignment mid-way through last week. We have been playing, walking and enjoying the sunshine.
I’m also starting this week out without a toddler. My Brookland baby turned three on Saturday. I now have a school-ager, preschooler and infant. How time flies.
This week I’m going to relax and read some books for pleasure, no guilt at all. I bought two new Nora Roberts books over the weekend. The weather forecast is pretty darn good for lazy book reading on the back deck while the kiddos are playing. I might be hoping it gets a little warmer, but sunshine is always good.
I see walks to the very nearby playground, to the library and to Family Place. I’m sure my Durango will be wondering what it did wrong before long. This is the first time we’ve lived somewhere that we can walk to anything we need, except Tim Horton’s… the sideways don’t go that far sadly.
I hope that you have a great week coming up, filled with sunshine, laughter, and love.
