That first taste of sweet or sour or savory. The first mouthful of flavor. The first handful, face full and outfit full of solid food. Do you remember your baby’s first foods?
If your little one’s first food was anything like my girls’ first then I’m sure that you were at least smiling, if not laughing. The look of confusion, rejection, or maybe complete acceptance.
With all the different foods tried and enjoyed, the first meal that Austin feed herself was cut up spaghetti. She had her fork in hand and a bowl in front of her. Minutes later I had a spaghetti covered little cutie, seat, table and walls. She loved it! I don’t think that I feed her too many meals after that one.
Brookland was always a both hands in, more mess the merrier, kind of eater. She did however, manage to give me one mess that I had never experienced with all the many babies that I have feed over the years. A big ole sneeze with a big ole mouth full of pureed food. Momma just loved that facial!
