Originally when I made some rubber playdough for the girls I didn’t think it was going to be any messier that regular playdough just figured on a different texture. Which it has. I can’t quite explain it, it was smoother, softer – not quite as solid feeling. Something new and fun to play it, and as it turns out, messy.

- 1 cup cornstarch
- 1 1/2 cups water
Mix and boil, making sure to stir until it has thicken into a ball.

There is a colour change coming up. This was a “hey let’s try this recipe out” not a planned Messy Friday activity. So I made up some, you know, because I love scrapping my kids {and anything they come in contact with} clean. When I saw what Austin’s hands looked like, I grabbed my camera – not paying attention to the setting it was on – and snapped some pictures. This is after playing with it for quite a bit. She loved the mess she was in and was hoping for a bath {it is not that messy}.

Interesting…seems like a simple recipe. And seems like it would be safe if ingested too, you know because toddlers put everything in their mouths. Thanks for sharing it.

Yes, my youngest had a few bites but didn’t seem to enjoy it.
Oh my goodness! Does it not come off hands? We’ll have to try this recipe sometime! I’m going to feature it in a roundup post next week.
I’ll be back with the link when I publish it!
