Toys are packed. With 24 hours left to go. Momma hid a few things, new things around the house.
To be changed up in the van on the actual drive? Shoe boxes. Filled with new things to be explored or old things gone missing to be rediscovered.
These are Austin’s boxes. Planning for a 3 1/2 year old was so much easier than a 1 year old. Thankfully there are things they can share, but also things just for each of them.
Austin’s aunt bought her a Melissa & Doug Cupcake Decorating set as a good-bye gift. I know she’s going to love playing with it, just like I know I’ll be ‘eating’ lots of ‘cupcakes’!
There are books, felt pieces some type of colouring thing in each box. Plus some play-dough toys (hmmm I still have to find the food colour to MAKE play dough at some point), some card games and more. I really hope that between these, DVDs and sleeping the drive won’t be too too horrible
I forgot to get a picture of Brookland’s boxes but she has some crayons and paper, foam letters and numbers, her purse full of toys, she tea set, some Little People and more.
It’s a long drive for all of us, and just thinking about it makes my stomach hurt. I just pray that we get there without any major problems.
