Brookland started with a cough, followed by a cold on Friday. You can get a cold from anywhere, contact with anyone. I know where this one came from, my nephew. My sister-in-law and I were careful to make sure he and Brookland didn’t share toys because he had a bad cough, but we didn’t think about her running around with his Sophie in hand. That was our mistake. Oh well.
Now I have been on germ patrol. I bought *gasp* disinfecting wipes Tuesday and have been wiping our house down. There are toys from one end of my house to the other that must be cleaned today… or tonight more likely.
When I had children coming for care I washed everything every Friday. Now I’m a bit slack but they still get cleaned.
Stuffed animals and fabric toys that aren’t dirty (other than cat/dog hair) go in the dryer. Toys that can be soaked in water (no batteries) go in the dishwasher with vinegar.
Others get washed down.
Good-bye germs!
My question to you is: Do you clean your child’s toys regularly?
Just some of the toys getting cleaned today/tonight.
